Georgetown Party Restrictions Response
Georgetown University is getting more strict and making more rules for parties held on campus and near campus. Neighbors have been complaining about the party eventually crashing their backyard. Police cops will be guarding the surrounding campus and especially the typical party spots. I personally believe that the discipline is needed, but only to a certain point. Either way, the students will always get what they want in the end. If they want a party with more than one-keg per party, they'll have a party with tons of drinks, but in a illegal and discreet way. Officials and officers will have to keep tracking down and more into the system then. I think it is a waste of time for these officials and officers to be concentrating on publicly drunk students when the outside, corrupt world has more going on with danger and harm. It is needed, but not to be the center and focus for the area's crime and danger. I believe that there should be a limited amount of security, guarding, and watch. If students really do get out of hand, the consequences should be up to the officials to penalize him or her. However, responsibilities should be up to the students to decide for him or herself.
